Reset Launcher

Overview​

This page explains how to reset only the launcher or restore the full device to factory settings.

Reset the launcher​

Use this option to restore the launcher layout and display settings without removing personal data.

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Factory Reset Launcher.
  2. Tap Reset Launcher.
  3. Confirm the reset.

The launcher restarts with the default layout.

Restore factory settings​

Use this option only when you want to erase the device and start again.

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Factory Reset Launcher.
  2. Tap Factory Settings.
  3. Tap Reset and confirm.

This deletes data stored on the device and returns it to factory state.
